FREIGHT DELIVERIES
What to do when your sign shipment arrives by freight delivery.
1. Your sign and
shipping skid/container or boxes will leave our shop in perfect
condition when they ship.
2. Upon arrival please
inspect for any physical damage or incorrect quantity BEFORE SIGNING the
delivery receipt from the driver. If the
containers in your shipment show visible signs of damage, open them
immediately to check the contents, and ask the driver to inspect the
contents with you. Then write a precise description of the damage on
both your copy and Freight Company’s copy of the delivery receipt.
REMEMBER: You have
the right to refuse delivery if there is OBVIOUS physical damage (before
signing the BOL, Bill Of Lading).
3. A damage claim
cannot be issued if you did not make note of any apparent
mishandling of your sign shipment.
4. FOR CONCEALED LOSS OR DAMAGE:
As soon as possible after delivery, unpack and inspect your shipment.
Should you discover any concealed loss or damage, report it to us
immediately. We may need to request an inspection by the freight company
within 15 days of the delivery date. While you wait for the inspection,
make every attempt to leave the containers and packing materials as they
were when you first discovered the loss or damage.
5. Shipping
damage to our well packed signs is
very rare. But it does occasionally happen. Please contact us
immediately if you have any questions or concerns along the way.
6. Any
additional freight/handling charges (above and beyond what was initially
quoted) are the responsibility of the customer.
e.g.: lift
gate charge, residential delivery charge, hold and redelivery charge,
etc.
Thank you
for your business!
